HOW IT WORKS:

Send me a note at DeviantArt (ladyfish.deviantart.com) if you have an account there, or email me at ladyfish_7@yahoo.com containing the ff info:
1.DA username (if applicable) / your name
2.request details
3.preferred payment method

1.) Please state everything in your request. Character, setting for BG(if applicable), colors in mind, composition in mind, EVERYTHING. If it is an original, you might want to give me a background so I can understand his/her character better, to enable me to put his/her personality on canvas (er, Photoshop canvas, that is.)

2.) My Open Canvas license has expired so I will only be using Photoshop CS2 for everything.

3.) Don’t make me do a complete replica of someone else’s work. I don’t like copying. Let’s be original here. If it’s fan art, then I’m sure we can show some originality too. :)

4.) Once all details have been ironed out, I’ll start doing the sketch. It’ll be very rough and might change as the work progresses. I will be sending you screen captures of the work in progress (72dpi, watermarked) from time to time.

5.) Once I’m done, I’ll show you a screen capture of it (72 dpi watermarked) and wait for your payment. Once I confirm receipt of payment, I’ll email you the 300dpi JPEG, 8.5x11 artwork.

6.) Check my gallery before queuing for a commission. :) Just so I'm sure you're familiar with my style.

7.) If you’ve more than one commissioned artworks listed in one batch, you have to pay for one before another is done.

8.) Don’t SELL my art to anyone. Don’t CLAIM it as YOURS. If you are to post it in your gallery, lower its resolution, make it a small image so that no one copies it in full detail, watermark it and credit me.
PAYMENT

HIBERNATING BEAR

I was hit real hard by the sniffles yesterday. It had been trying to defeat my immune system for 2 days (since it started raining really hard) and finally suceeded on the third. Maybe from all the stress brought about by bawling my eyes out, commuting to and from work under heavy rainclouds, and the constant thought that I'll die penniless.

They say when you're sick, the best way to recuperate is lots of water and bed rest. And boy did I take "bed rest" to the next level.

I woke up feeling really weak and was flaming hot around 6 in the morning. Texted Lei I couldn't come to work. After her reply, I texted Lee I was sick and that I was going to stay home and rest. After informing them, I closed my eyes to get more rest...and woke up at around 6 in the evening!!! The day zoomed by and I was sleeping like a hibernating bear!!! So when sleeping time was just around the corner, I was wide awake...and stayed that way till 5am!! Boy did I screw up my sleep routine.

I feel better now although still groggy from meds and stress. And now I'm back atthe office and Lee's pissed about it because he said I had to rest more.

There's nothing I could do really. I have to finish something, and I'll just get bored at home.

But, yeah, the sniffles hit me hard, alright! It got me pretty good.

The Doer of ART

Gosh it took me so long to figure out how to do this silly meme tagged me with. I was starting to think I was stupid for not understanding how it should be done... I'm not even sure if I did it right.

Anyhoo, I did a few magazine covers of myself before but I didn't want to post those since it was the theme Rachey and her friend used. So I'll go for...

"Geisha", (gei) meaning "art" and (sha) meaning "person" or "doer".

Geisha are not prostitutes but lovers and doers of art.
The word Geisha means "artist" in Japanese.
Geisha are professional hostesses who entertain guests through various performing arts in tea houses called O-chaya. They are trained in a number of traditional skills such as Japanese ancient dance, singing, playing instruments such as the Shamisen, flower arrangement, wearing kimo no, tea ceremony, calligraphy, conversation, alcohol serving manners and more. Geisha continue to study and perfect these skills throughout their careers as geisha. A successful geisha must demonstrate beauty, grace, artistic talent, charm, impeccable etiquette, and refinement.

I admire their devotion to their career. Their patience in undergoing months (maybe even years) of maiko training is commendable. They understand their art and are adept at it.

I chose to show me as a geisha because in my field (arts), one has to have the same amount of patience and devotion.

Here's the instruction to this tag/meme:
1st step - Post a short blog article that includes a photograph (or a series of photos) showing the face behind your blog. If you already showed a photo somewhere on your site (such as in your about page), then make your post more interesting and choose a photo that’s not currently online.
2nd step - Include links to other people that have displayed a photo, or include their photos in your post, adding a reference.
3rd step - Tag as many others as you like in your post to spread the meme.
4th step - If you link back to me here and send an email I’ll be sure to include links back to you. Each person tagged should create their own post and repeat the process.I'm tagging Fran, Elaine, Sin, Jhungks, Duo, Eric, Shiela, Rayanne, Aileen, Ivan, Kelly, Francyn, Les, Tei, Mija, Jeyp and Kitty.

Erase and Rewind

I set my alarm to go off 30 minutes earlier than my usual waking time because I wanted to start going to work early (I'm usually 15-30 minutes late).

I woke up on time, headed for the bathroom to do all my morning rituals (including bathing, of course), spent a good 20 minutes blow-drying my hair and fixing my brows, got my lunch from the kitchen and left early, thinking the day ahead will be absolutely perfect and that I will be able to accomplish more today than I did the past 4 days.

But boy was I wrong to think starting the day right would mean starting early. I was greeted by a monstrous traffic jam this morning! How could I not get butt cramps from sitting in the bus for more than an hour (half of which was spent at Cubao)?! I was feeling giddy because I was bored and hungry so I texted some people while waiting for the long queue of vehicles all bound for Ortigas to move inch by inch. The passengers were getting angry at the driver (who really did nothing wrong. How is he to stop the cars from causing a traffic jam?) And why, of all days, did MMDA choose a Friday to do their sidewalk painting? Because the roads were dry today and they had to make use of the sunny weather? C'mon! Their asses were occupying half the roads! Argh! Good thing Text twist and Diner Dash kept me company for the duration of the trip.

We arrived at Ortigas a little over 8:50 and I fought to keep calm because if I'd give in and get pissed, I'd ruin the whole day, probably even the weekend.

I arrive 30 minutes late, left my ID in my other bag so I couldn't swipe in, and my Planner project needs to be overhauled.

So much for wanting to have a perfect day.

Fran and I had an impromptu dinner and coffee date at Sbarro and Sugarhouse (coffee from tarbax of course).

(which was actually long overdue but we kept rescheduling until we just stopped and one day just decided to go without planning)

I missed hanging out with her! =)

She is also going to be my wedding planner. Ainnit awesome?

Guilty

Okay Okay. I admit it. I AM guilty. So I tried lessening the guilt by going LIGHT. Heh heh heh.

Shocking News

Lee texted me a few minutes ago to check the web for any news on Chris Benoit's death. And as if THAT wasn't shocking enough for me....I saw this on their official website:

It's sad enough that he's dead all of a sudden....but does it really have to be a double murder suicide inside the family? Condolences to all his friends and family.

Walking Tight Ropes

Something very traumatic and terrifying happened last Sunday that I dare not share to the public...Let's just say it's something that wouldn't make you sleep for a couple of weeks, maybe months.

Yesterday, Lee and I were given a tough break, thanks to our friend. And last night was the first night I slept straight without having nightmares (or at least I woke up not remembering my REM dream). I felt so rested (though I was late for work hehe).

Thanks Paulie, Shiela, Rache, Lei and Fran for being there. You, at least, made the sleepness nights quite bearable.

And most importantly, thanks, Kuya Jess. You ARE indeed my personal Saviour.

Baby Steps

I'm finally paying off my cute little credit card debts little by little...one baby step at a time...

But of course I'm almost always left with nothing for on-the-side spending. Everything fits into an overly-cramped budget and there are no rooms for budget-breakers. It has to be this way if I want to be able to save up starting 2 months from now for something big happening in 2 years.

No daily/weekly Starbucks...I mean not even ONCE this month.
No daily isaw food trips
No rootbeer floats or popcorns on weekends
No icecream bingeing
No timezone neoprints
No daily cab rides meaning I can't afford to wake up 30 minutes after my alarm goes off
No birthday gifts for friends (sorry card nalang muna ha?)
No long cellphone calls or conversational overseas texting
No late-night gimmicks

Basically the life of a highschool student.
But I'll get through this for sure. I just HAVE to stick to my budget.
So help me God.

And I hope this works because it's the last thing I'm allowing myself to buy this month.

How broke can one get?

Missing a lot...

I miss a ot of stuff.

I miss ice cream on a hot sunny day. I don't get to see the sun that often. I'm confined to the depths of the endless void I'd like to call my office cubicle.

I miss shawarma and isaw. I miss giving him the rest of what I'm gobbling up and can't seem to finish.

I miss my music. I miss playing. And I miss hearing him play.

We just saw each other yesterday. But I miss him again. I'll see him tonight but I'll miss him again after that.

And because I've been working hard on my project here at work, I miss working on the details of our wedding which pushes through 2 years from now. I miss looking for good finds and ways to make sure we get value for our money....or spend nothing at all if we can on some aspects. And then I'll get pissed because I know I can do this I know I can do that but I can't because duh...I'm the bride??? I can't arrange my own flowers...I can't fix all the on-the-day-itself details. I miss getting this pissed.

I miss getting stressed over nonesense. Like when my hair pin won't hold enough hair.

I miss my coffee nights with one of my best friends. ;) Coffee before your watch dahling!!! I miss throwing my rants at your face hehe.

I miss cooking. I miss baking. I miss inviting him over just so he can taste what I whipped up.

Oh, but I don't miss eating. I do it every minute of my life. Hehe.

Angry Brows

I have learned that my eyebrows are knotted fiercely even if I feel happy and calm inside.
Saw this when I glanced at the mirror in front of me. No wonder Lei thought I was mad at her when I really wasn't.

Hahahaha!!!

Strange Feeling...

I feel strangely calm and content these past few days. Despite the fact that I’ve got credit card debt, a whole lot of things to do in the office, a whole lot of personal projects to finish, a whole lot of plans/goals to fulfill, and a whole new phase of my life to embrace…I feel a strange tranquility inside me I cannot explain.

It’s not like the calm after the storm or before one. There’s not the slightest bit of tension inside. I just feel strangely calm.

It’s like…stopping in the middle of a busy street and becoming deaf to the noise the world makes, and suddenly, you see the world in full, vivid colors, and everything is as they should really be.

It’s like sitting on a swing…beside someone special, exchanging a serene silence that contains the most meaningful conversation without even having to open your mouths to speak. It’s something so powerful, so sincere. So pure.

And while it’s something I enjoy, it’s something that bothers some people.

My Silent Sanctuary

Ok. So as if having a Friendtser and Multiply blog isn't enough, I had to make a new blogger account... The truth is, I love blogging. It keeps me sane. It's like writing on a journal - and I don't even have to hold a pen for hours! (^_^) Multiply's fine but right now, I've got a bit of a glitch. The IT department has the multiply site so I can't access it right now. But HE-llo! I just need to blog and tinker away at site settings endlessy...what with my obssessive-compulsive nature and all.

I finished helping out with preparations for our event tomorrow. It's going to be a big one and I hope everything turns out fine. meanwhile, I'm off to Filinvest for a round of Burger Machine. (^_^)

I miss Galera. And I miss my bestie.
